The new dreamweaver CS3 was released in early 2007 and has several improvisations over Dreamweaver 8 version. The most interesting feature that has come up is perhaps the integration of the Spry framework for Ajax.
In addition, a whole new range of CSS tools have been included within it that incorporates full support for CSS layouts. Adobe suggests upgrading to the new version for multiple advantages.
Designing sites using CSS layouts has become all the more easier with the inclusion of new tools and templates that comes with full comments. CSS layouts enable you to separate design from content of the website and make it easier to manage.
CSS Advisor Website
The CSS advisor website is the one stop assistance shop to find solutions for all the browser problems. You can also add on you own tips.
the new version comes with a context sensitive menu that makes navigation way easier than what it was earlier. You can now easily move CSS around your older web pages, from in-line to head, from head to external document and from document to document.
The Dreamweaver is in full integration to support Photoshop, Fireworks and many other Adobe products. For instance you can copy and paste directly onto Dreamweaver from Photoshop. You can even edit your image in Photoshop and when you save the changes there, Dreamweaver will update the image within the webpage with the new version. There is also full support for Contribute CS3.
Spry Framework For Ajax
By using the Spry framework for Ajax you will be able visually design and develop dynamic user interfaces and tools. This tool adds up interactivity but at the same time reduce page refreshes
With Spry, page visual transitions are added ever so quickly to page elements. You can make the elements grow, shrink, fade, highlight and do much more with the additional features.
The Spry data can be integrated in XML format from an RSS feed or database. This data is easily managed. For example you can sort it out or filter the data.
Common interface components like tables, tabs, lists, repeatable regions can be added real fast and you can even form validation (client side) using Spry widgets.
Adobe Device Central CS3
If you are creating a website for a mobile device you can design, preview, and test mobile device content using Adobe Device Central that is now integrated throughout Adobe Creative Suite 3.
This feature was also part of Dreamweaver 8, but it is here completely revamped with full support for CSS layout. So you can save time by checking your CSS layouts within Dreamweaver, and not bothering to open up all of the different web browsers.
